STICKS AND STONES....
I'm a good natured person. I tease people a lot. A lot of people tease me a lot. But here's a question: When does teasing get old and become irritating to you? And what do you do about it?
To me, easing gets old when one person no longer finds it amusing, though I admit it is sometimes fun for the antagonizers to keep at it just to annoy the other person or to make others laugh...
okay this isn't the nicest solution but it's usually pretty effective - i usually just do a little teasing of my own right back to the person but make it to the point where it almost crosses the line into being just plain mean - and usually they'll get the message to stop
Ok, I'm sorry. I'll quit teasing. Seriously, I've decided that teasing that cuts or demeans is what is toxic. Good natured humor gets old with overdose, but the other kind cuts a little all the time. I learned that from Sonny & Cher.

Since everyone else is blogging these days, I decided to "hold hands and go bowling" with them! I write about what I'm thinking, doing, reading, watching, or experiencing. If there is any semblance to you or your life, it is merely coincidental.

Well, you should ask my daughter this question. She gives you this look that says, without words, "Get a life". She doesn't have to say a word.

i'd like to know why you're asking the question...;o)
I agree with Keira...
I think teasing is out of line if it has a little barb in it. You always wonder if the person really means it to be mean.
