EMAIL HOAXES
People send me lots of spam emails. Most of the time I don't forward them along. Even if I get one that has the warning that if I don't forward it something bad will happen to me. But every once in a while I get an email that is interesting so I go ahead and forward it. Every time I have forwarded an email, someone has sent me an email back saying that whatever that email was about, was a hoax. Just recently someone sent me an email about how Mars was going to be closer to the earth than ever before and it was going to be able to be seen in the night sky. I was so excited because I like astronomy and when I took the newspaper would always read the "Night Sky" section to see what to look for. About an hour after I sent that email, I got an email back from an astronomy teacher saying it was a hoax. So THAT'S IT! I just want everyone to know here and now that from henceforth, I will no longer forward emails. So you can send me all the emails you want, but know this: The EMAIL stops here! I don't care if something bad happens to me, or I break the chain, or whatever. Oh and by the way: all you people who are spending so much time looking up every email you get to see if it's a hoax - go do something else with your life!

I sometimes get emails that are real, but sometimes I dont' know,so if I question, I look it up. I get alot of emails that are false, and I'm getting to the point that I can usually spot them. I usually check things out before I forward them though. I like to learn about the subjects anyway.
I'd just like to know what is the point of a false email?
I don't have a problem with you sending it Inklings. The problem I have is with the people who start it. It is malicious intent. And those of us who don't know it's false believe it and send it on.
Or, you can go to snopes and check it out before hitting forward.
That said, I'm like you and don't forward many of those types of emails.
