A BIRTHDAY SUPRISE

This is the guitar I bought my husband for his birthday. Before I went home to the states for a visit, I ordered this from his wishlist on Music123 and had it shipped to my house. Then I hand carried it through 2 airports - well 3 counting Dublin - to bring it to him. It was worth it to see the look on his face when I came through the door from customs, pushing my luggage cart with the guitar on top. Only one other time in our married life can I ever remember surprising him with something he wanted for either his birthday or Christmas. The other time was at Christmas, when I had a poster of the Golden Gate Bridge and a blueprint of the Golden Gate Bridge framed for his office. We had bought them on a trip to San Francisco one time several years before but we had never framed them. I just love surprises! Unfortunately it just takes me a long time to think of something. His birthday is March 28th.

He is going to LOVE that!

I love surprises too, I'm just not good at thinking them up.

Actually, thats my birthday...his is the 28th...and I'm glad he likes it...I miss playing it...My guitar is fine but the strings are really old and I need to change them but I'm just being lazy about doing them...it was nice to play a guitar with new strings for awhile...and I really like the tone of that guitar...its kind of weird because I've played guitars like that before but I don't remember liking them as much as I did when I played that one...

I totally forgot to say what kind of guitar this is: It's an Ovation Acoustic-Electric Super Shallow Body.

That's neat that you were able to think of a nice surprise for him. Tell him Happy Birthday! :)

Glad you were able to surprise him, and that he liked it so much. It looks like a pretty decent guitar. Time to rock out.
