bummer...
I've been more than "kind of" bummed out lately about some things. Have you ever had a day, week, year - that no matter what you do, it is wrong? So what do I do? I go to Delirious' blog and read that "The insecure part of us is pride. Pride keeps us from wanting to make any mistakes. Pride worries what others will think about us." great...made my day..not. So how do you "not" worry about making mistakes or about what others will think? Especially when it keeps coming back at you. You might say to yourself you don't care what other people think - but deep down you do. And if you leave a comment, I don't want to hear any Pollyanna quips either.

I guess my question would be, do you agree with what I said? I could be mistaken, but when I searched my feelings, that's what I felt. I guess my next question is, what kinds of things are you talking about because they may not be a problem of pride.
I think you're confusing pride with love. You might feel bad that you might have hurt someone but it is out of love that you feel that. Pride has nothing to do with it...and I don't think you can ever let yourself not worry...that is something that you have to live with...there is a famous quote, "Fear can keep you up all night but faith makes a fine pillow". You just have to make yourself believe or make yourself want to believe that in the end, everything will be fine and that the people that you hurt will forgive you if such an apology is needed...
I don't believe the pride we feel when we do something well or the pride we feel when we accomplish a great task is the pride that is referenced thoroughout the Bible---that is pride that you are better than others---or that your clothes and jewelry are better than others---or that you go somewhere and all you can see is that you have better things cars, houses etc...then that is pride and that is bad.
Is it bad to have nice things---I don't think so---I think being puffed up about what you have is the bad thing---I don't think what you are worrying about is the bad pride---if it was you wouldn't be worrying about it.
