HAPPY 38TH!

Today is my wedding anniversary. My husband and I have been married 38 years. My, time does fly when you're having fun. Here are ten "fun facts" about our dating:
1. We met at the Hi-D-Ho - a fast food drive-in like Sonic.
2. He did not kiss me on the first date.
3. He did not kiss me on the second date.
4. After the second date, I told my friend (who introduced us) that I was going to marry him.
5. He asked me to marry him 2 weeks later.
6. We were married 2 months later.
7. I did not know his real name until after we were married.
8. He and his friends joined a fight to help out my good friend DJ, who was getting the tar beat out of him by a group of boys.
9. When we were talking long-distance on the phone one night, a tornado hit our town and did a lot of damage. The phones were down all night. He stayed up all night watching news reports because he was worried about me.
10. He is the love of my life.

I always find it amazing that people can know eachother for so little time, get married, and build a strong life together. There is a man in our ward who proposed after the second date, never saw her over the summer until the day they married. They have been married over 30 years.

I remember when Inklings came down to help with your wedding---I was living in a Guard Station building fence for a job---and living all week away from home---I have always been tickled you two got together. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

I am so happy the two of you got married, and so amazed you met each other at the Hi-D-Ho where the two of you were probably the only decent people there. :0)

Obviously, I'm glad as well that you got married because I wouldn't be here otherwise...

Ooops, senior moment...I mixed up the Arrowhead with the Hi-D-Ho. It must have been the ho-word in Hi-D-Ho that did it, huh?

I'm still amazed that you guys have made it this long, especially considering the speed at which you got engaged. That's quite a tribute to you two. You made it 30 years longer than I did ;-)
