Inkling's been posting about what she's been making her granddaughters, so I thought I'd show you what I made last week for my grandson's 3rd birthday. I got this pattern online and had to cut it out 3 times before I got it right. :0+ The Superman side reverses to Batman. As you can see, I've updated Batman to the 21st century. In the old comic books, Batman had a blue cape, but since the movies came out, I decided I needed to go with black.

It turned out great! Mine aren't quite as fancy. lol
So cute! I actually have 2 cut out for my grandsons (started them when they were living with me) and have never finished them. :0s
The funny part is that his mom says he loves to wear it, but he doesn't want anyone to see him wearing it. :0) If someone sees him, he hurries and takes it off. The solution? His mom says that his sister wants a Wonder Woman cape. She wants it to revert to a Princess Cape (has a crown as a symbol on a pink cape). I'm sure once she gets hers, they'll both be Super Heroes together!. :0)
That is so cute. I hope I'm as good at the Grandma thing as you and Mom seem to be. :)
I love this. I hope if we have sons you make them one. It reminds me of all the stories I've heard about Babs wearing a cape when he was little. :-D
I made those for my nephews one year for Christmas and they loved them. But the funny thing is, one nephew's 2 little boys found them at their grandma's house and took them over, and they have to wear them ALL the time. The capes are now starting to fray, but they still want them.
It is pretty amazing that you guys do these things for your grandkids---I know they love them.
